Objectives:
Participants will be able to:

  • Identify the practitioner's role(s) during a medical disaster which overwhelms local resources.
  • Prepare medical practices to alter standards and methods of care during a pandemic or other medical disaster.
  • Examine the availability and purpose of local, regional and national stockpiles of medical supplies and equipment.
  • Manage and track supplies and resources used during a medical disaster for purposes of status awareness and reimbursement.
  • Target Audience: Hospitals, outpatient clinics, physicians, emergency management, public health, EMS, medical volunteers, other healthcare partners.
